Within sight of the French mainland an island paradise that combines the English and French way of living, taking some of the best from both and adding a dash of its own independent character. Guernsey is renowned for its coastal scenery and safe bays. The South, has rugged cliffs and lovely coves; the West and North coasts are sandy beaches interspersed with rocky outcrops. The East looks towards the neighbouring Islands of Herm and Sark, both well worth a visit.
