This must be our ‘magical mystery’ tour to show you some of the wonders of Saxony - Meissen, famed throughout the world for its porcelain, our Hotel looks out onto the city, across the River Elbe, which you will be able to visit on your leisure day.

Dresden is considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in Germany, also located on the Elbe River on the edge of the Saxony forest. Founded in 1206 and recognized as a World Heritage Site, Dresden is absolutely full of great sights to see. The Green Vault, once again in the Royal Palace, displays eight rooms of baroque and renaissance treasures. The sheer splendor of the rooms and the objects on display is overwhelming and an absolute must for any visitor to Dresden.

Visits around the surrounding countryside will include a steam train ride on one of the historic lines from Dresden, and the fabulous Moritzburg, the hunting castle of August the Strong.

To finish a leisurely cruise on the River Elbe, during our second day in Dresden, to see just one of the most beautiful river landscapes in Europe, undeniably areas of outstanding natural beauty. Returning home mid-evening.
