Day 1: Morning departure and head westwards for Cornwall, with of course suitable comfort stops along the way.
Day 2: Visit the Eden Project a dramatic global garden housed in tropical biomes that nestle in a crater the size of 30 football pitches. Experience the sights, smells and scale of the rainforests; discover the tropical plants; travel to South Africa and California, with orange and lemon trees, olive groves and gnarled vines; see hemp, sunflowers and other plants that could change your future. Late afternoon visit the little harbour side town of Fowey.
Day 3: Lost Gardens of Heligan, 'The Nation's Favourite Garden'. This 22-acre 'jungle' was created as a horticultural playground to indulge the passion for sub-tropical plants that swept the country over a hundred years ago. Now some of the most lush vegetation in the country can be found in this steep-sided valley garden, including the largest collection of tree ferns in Europe, thickets of bamboo and a banana plantation. Another delightful village for you to enjoy during the afternoon, is picturesque Mevagissey.
Day 4: Trebah, an exotic ‘sub tropical’ garden in a ravine that falls down to the Helford Estuary. A forest of rhododendrons, magnolias and camellias in an ever-changing display of colour. The afternoon in Falmouth.
Day 5: Return journey homewards to arrive in your local area early to mid evening, Again suitable comfort stops along the way.
