Day 1: Morning departure from your local area, to arrive at our Hotel late afternoon, with suitable comfort stops on the way.
Day 2: Visit to England’s Cradle of Christianity, the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. Cross the dramatic causeway, and journey into our spiritual heritage. Few places are as beautiful or have such special significance. If tide-time allows a visit to Bamburgh with its magnificent castle.
Day 3: After a leisurely breakfast we shall take you to where the past comes to life. Beamish is unique; no ordinary museum but a living, working experience of life as it was in the Great North in the 1800s and early 1900s.
Day 4: The Alnwick Gardens, has as its centrepiece a computer operated Grand Cascade. The Ornamental Gardens have a European influence and with over eighty varieties of rose in the Rose Garden already - one being the new Alnwick Castle which was launched at Chelsea in 2001. We shall have a guided tour of these wonderful displays before you wander at leisure around the gardens. Opportunity to visit to one of the finest Castles in the British Isles.
Day 5: On our return journey, a stop will be made in Lincolnshire, arriving home early evening.
