This time of the year the bulb-growing region of South Holland is ablaze with colour, and the flowers are used to create the floats for the spectacular annual flower parade. Staying in Oudenbosch, which is famous for its replica of St. Peter’s in Rome.

At a rustic location in West Brabant an old monastery which has been converted into an elegant hotel. All rooms are decorated following the good style of the monastery. All bedrooms are equipped with bath or shower, telephone, toilet, Internet connection and television.

Day 1: Morning departure for Dover and short sea crossing. Arrive at hotel late afternoon, time to walk into town before evening dinner.
Day 2: Drive to the bulb district to watch the most wonderful annual flower parade of the region. A scenic drive to historic Leiden for a lunchtime visit, then to one of South Holland’s quaintest and prettiest of little towns tucked on its island - Delft famous for its hand painted blue china.
Day 3: A delightful cruise on the Kaager Lakes with traditional Dutch refreshments, before we visit the Keukenhof Park. Enjoy the splendour of over seven million flowering bulbs, indoor floral displays and colourful flowerbeds amongst ancient trees. We shall have about four hours to stroll among these wonderful gardens.
Day 4: Departing after breakfast, making a lunch stop in one of the Flemish towns, before arriving at Calais for our ferry. Returning to your local area early evening. |
