Day 1:   Departing local areas with a suitable comfort stop, we make our way to Kettering for lunch and afternoon tea at the Potteries, Stoke on Trent.


Day 2:   Explore Standedge Visitors Centre, with a trip aboard the glass topped boat to learn the history of the Standedge Tunnel. After lunch we travel to Holmfirth, best known for its ‘Last of the Summer Wine’ connections, but discover far more about this once thriving extile village.


Day 3:   Today, a full day on the fascinating Manchester Ship Canal. Starting at Salford Quays we travel the 35-mile stretch of canal with a lively commentary giving a revealing insight into the facts, history and dramas of one of Britain’s major waterways. Refreshments and snacks are available throughout the cruise.


Day 4:   Departing our hotel after breakfast we travel to the market town of Banbury for lunch, returning to your local area late afternoon.
