Day 1: Early morning departure, and with suitable comfort stops along the way to arrive at our Dunblane hotel by early evening.
Day 2: We take a look at Dunblanes’ cathedral then to the monument dedicated to the memory of Scotland’s famous freedom fighter, William Wallace. For lunch we travel to Stirling, ‘the gateway to the Highlands’ and the ancient capital.
Day 3: A full day to enjoy the timeless beauty of The Trossachs with a steamship cruise on Loch Katrine.
Day 4: Travelling the short distance to Dumbarton we will take you to the Scottish Maritime museum. After a suitable stay we head for a lunch stop at Helensburgh with its wide promenade and wonderful views. This afternoon we shall visit Linn Botanical Gardens brimming with thousands of exotic, unusual and rare plants.
Day 5: Today enjoy a ‘Truly Uplifting Experience’ with time at the Falkirk Wheel Visitor Centre for an early lunch/snack before boarding our boat at the foot of the spectacular 115 foot giant, where you will ascent to join the Union Canal to sail along the aqueduct. After this a ride on the Bo’ness and Kinneil Railway with time to explore the museum of Scotland’s Railways, the largest collection in Scotland.
Day 6: Departing after breakfast, and with suitable comfort stops along the way to arrive at your local area mid-evening. |
