This is the most spectacular of all nights on the Rhine. Eight firework displays within ninety minutes and ten miles of ornately decorated promenades on both sides of the river. Nowhere else is there a more impressive interplay of fire, water and light than here in this beautiful and majestic region steeped in history.

Day 1:   Early morning ferry sailing to Calais we make a lunch stop in one of Belgium's attractive towns before continuing to our Rhineland hotel early evening.


Day 2:   Morning to explore the town of Konigswinter or perhaps take a ride on the rack and pinion railway to the top of the Dragon's Rock. After lunch join our ship of the 'White Fleet', in readiness for the spectacular display of fireworks, and illuminations. A light supper will be served on board as we cruise up river to become part of the very impressive 'Armada' of ships decked out in coloured lights waiting to drift downstream to enjoy one of the most magnificent of spectacles that will explode into the night sky before our eyes.


Day 3:   A drive along the Rhine, with pretty medieval towns still with its city walls, gates and half-timbered houses, and ruined castles high above.


Day 4:   After breakfast we leave the Rhine valley and return to Calais stopping for lunch en route. We arrive at your local area mid-evening.
