Day 1: Early morning departure and travel direct to Pembroke for the afternoon ferry to Southern Ireland reaching our overnight hotel late afternoon.
Day 2: Continue our journey, with a lunch stop on the Irish Riviera at Youghal. Arriving at our hotel during the afternoon.
Day 3: Day at leisure in Killarney. Maybe visit Muckross House and Gardens, Ross Castle or a jaunty car ride through the National Park.
Day 4: A scenic drive around the Ring of Kerry, its spectacular beauty is beyond question, and provides an amazing insight into the ancient heritage of Ireland.
Day 5: A visit today to Galway Bay, a lunchtime stop in Lisdoonvarna followed by a drive to the Cliffs of Moher. Then to the Burren, a fascinating scenic area littered with history. An afternoon tea stop at Adare, widely regarded as being Ireland’s prettiest and most picturesque village.
Day 6: By Dingle Bay the scenery is again spectacular as we travel around the lovely Dingle Peninsular. Described as "the most beautiful place on earth". Bounded on three sides by the sea, it combines in its landscape the ruggedness of rocky outcrops and cliffs with the soft shapes of hills and mountains, skirted by coastal lowlands. Watch out for the Dolphins in the harbour at Dingle.
Day 7: Take our leave of our hosts as sadly we must retrace our steps back to Wexford and the overnight hotel.
Day 8: Morning ferry to Pembroke, returning to your local area mid evening.
